When my husband and I decided to remodel our Alameda home we started by having JR Nuerge help us design a "master plan" of the entire house, including color schemes, floor coverings, and furnishings.
Both the adjoining upstairs bathrooms needed to be completely redone so we hired JR and Bill to manage the project for us.  JR did the preliminary searching, based on our master plan.  Both JR and Bill were in continuous touch with the contractor, making site visits frequently so that all the details were correct. 
Later, remodeling of the living room, kitchen and master bedroom were completed on schedule and budget.  When other people describe the trauma of remodeling, we will not have a horror story to tell.  This was not an ordeal!  We are now enjoying our beautiful home designed especially for us.  When we describe our remodeling, we give thanks to JR and Bill for their careful management and attention to detail.
